TRAVEL GRANTS

The IUCN SSC Primate Specialist Group – Section on Small Apes is providing financial support for a travel grant scheme for students and early career researchers (< 6 years of experience in primate conservation field) from Indonesia and primate-range habitat countries in Asia to attend the Asian Primate Symposium in Medan, North Sumatera – Indonesia from 23 to 27 November 2024.
Four travel grants are available for two Indonesians (USD 700 each) and two students/early career researchers from primate-range habitat countries in Asia (USD 1,200 each), including the registration fee, accommodation, and travel cost.
Eligibility:
1. Students or early career researchers (< 6 years of experience in the primate conservation field) from Indonesia and primate-range habitat countries in Asia
2. Present an oral presentation at the APS
Applications must include:
1. Your name, institutional affiliation, and email address
2. A proof of citizenship
3. A proof of work or student status
4. The submitted abstract
5. A short CV
6. One paragraph outlining how presenting at the conference will benefit your career (max 350 words)
Once they are selected, the grantee should provide the following before money is sent:
1.evidence of their abstract being accepted
After attending the conference, the grantee must provide:
2. all receipts
3. a short report including photos

The 9th Asian Primates Symposium proudly present special registration fee for students from Indonesia who is intended to attend the 9th APS in Medan, North Sumatera from 23 to 27 November 2024.
The special price will be granted to 20 Indonesian Undergraduate Students from all universities or similar institutions in Indonesia.
The Registration fee for the selected candidates will be charged at Rp. 500.000,-.
Eligibility:
1. Undergraduate students with Indonesian citizenship,
2. Present an oral presentation at the APS

5. One paragraph outlining how presenting at the conference will benefit to your study or research project (max 350 words)
